Cooperativa L'Ape Regina

Coop L’Ape Regina was created at the beginning of 1999 with the purpose of unifying the professional experiences formed up to that time, as a result of touristic, didactic and vocational training in the Alta Tuscia Laziale. The initiatives of the Coop develop in accordance with the guidelines of a project shared with local administration. Thanks to its cooperation with the Monte Rufeno Natural Reserve, L’Ape Regina has become the main reference for touristic and didactic services through the entrustment and direction  of the Information Office, of the Centre for Environmental Education and the Museo del Fiore. The cultural and educational proposals are also realized thanks to the administration of the Museo della Città di Acquapendente, of the Laboratory of  Ceramics  and Artistic Handicraft, of Archeolab and of Cinema Olimpia, Teatro Boni and Anfiteatro Cordeschi.
The institutional purposes include the following thematic areas: valorization and promotion of the historical and environmental  inheritance by empowering cultural tourism, management of a few territorial museums and of cultural resources; promotion of arts and activities for the spare time.

The educational proposals of  Coop are based on the awareness that the school as single educational agency  is being substituted by an integrated educational system.
Activities originate from spurs offered by the territory, starting from the richness of biodiversity, from traces of history down to traditions and folklore. Museo del Fiore and the receptive structures of the Reserve are the most important instruments of our didactics..
